What You'll Be Doing:
As a Diesel Mechanic at Angelle Materials, you will play a vital role in repairing/maintaining our equipment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Must be trained on the job, in the military, and/or schooled in all aspects of Truck and Machinery Repair and in General Maintenance to include all truck systems, brakes, transmissions, and engine repair. Observation, diplomas, certifications, or testimonials of previous or current employers must prove training.
- Must be able to maintain Truck services and repairs as required to operate safe and efficient Trucks, loaders and lift trucks.
- Must be able to work as part of a team of maintenance people responsible for maintaining all motor vehicles in a serviceable and outstanding manner.
- Must ensure all services and repairs are accomplished on every Truck IAW OSHA and DOT specifications.
- Must be able to recommend to direct supervisor those vehicular units that should be sold, replaced, or repaired as needed.
- Must be trained and proficient in the computer technology sufficient to diagnose, repair, and overhaul trucks as required by the fleet manager and manufacturer guidelines.
- Must maintain certifications for those systems required by the Company in order to perform DOT inspections and quarterly services as required under state and federal laws, regulations, and policies. (Brakes, Inspection, Steering, Tire, Transmissions, and Engine Certifications)
- Must be able to work as part of a professional maintenance team to maintain company vehicular equipment to Manufacturer and State legal standards.
- Must be able to read computer diagnostic equipment and testers required to complete repairs on all complicated engine components.
To succeed as a Diesel Mechanic, you'll need:
- Be punctual and maintain a good job performance and appropriate office attire as designated by Management.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Majority of work performed outside
- Exposure to high levels of stress in highly likely in order to coordinate needs of employees
- Schedule varies daily. Typical shifts are 8-12 hours daily with varying early morning start times.
